My Comments Often Hide From Me

Always great to see discussions generated from my Mylot posts. It can be frustrating when some posts just amount to 'thanks for posting friend', to every post, but at least that is adding to my revenue.
My other bugbear is a technical one, where a reply to one or more of my own comments involves me needing to go back and read my own comment to get the gist and context of the reply, but my own comment is in among a heap of collapsed comments I have to open out again to read what I said before looking again at the comments inspired and generated by it.
As the Rolling Stones sang, I Can't Get No Satisfaction.

so which do you prefer? the conversation back or forth? or the "thanks".
By the way. I love that song.

@arthurchappell good to know. As long as there is still some sense in the conversation, why not? right?

@Mavic123456 yes, though it gets harder the longer a thread goes on as you end up repeating points already made or just not knowing what more you can write

@id_peace it is impossible to reply to everything. Just do what you can

I am also irritated by the "thanks for posting friend", there are a couple of users who seem only know to type this reply. This is the song that I have loved most when I was a teenager. I played it so many times that a friend menaced to break my vinyl into pieced.

yes, that often is my thinking too - reminds me of this classic moment from the Animal House movie

I've never seen a post of yours fail to generate a discussion.

I get a lot of the dear friend posts, too. I often have to plow through long threads to refresh my memory about what was said before by whom. I wish they would stop hiding posts. I spend a lot of time just to answer someone because I have to read a ton of stuff to get to the right place.

@Kandae11 easily done if the discussions meander on for a while

@deba12 their occassional use is fine but some writers literally offer no other comments - they just cut & paste thanks into everything, more than likely without reading anything at all

I have also have that issue so I can understand you. I mean the part where I have to go back to my previous comments because it has been collapsed.
