I don't usually say much about Trump but right now I am really pissed off at that bozo. He's approved the XL pipeline to be built which means the destruction of parts of the Rosebud Reservation in South Dakota as well as the Fort Belknap Indian Reservation in Montana. Already the Sicangu Oyate, Assiniboine (Nakoda) and Gros Ventre (Aaniiih) have suffered severe blows to their original ways of life only to have Trump strike them down with another blow. Haven't these Tribes suffered enough? What right does Trump have to destroy what little these people have left of their way of life? I pray they win their law suit and gain huge settlements that will benefit these tribes. Ok, I had to get that off my chest, I just hate when the real minority groups of our nation continue to suffer at the hands of big corporations and the US government.

We also have been facing similar situation in Andhra with new capital and Pollavaram project coming up. Relocation is being done and compensations are also being paid If it can be avoided, then it must be, as people come first

I think our planet comes first because without it we would not survive. Pipelines that destroy wild habitat is not good for any of us.

@rebelann if it can be avoided, then it should be and some alternative can be thought of.

That's just gross. Plain stupid gross. I had a wonderful John Denver Montana Christmas show that highlighted the Belknap area and the tribe there. Just gorgeous.

You are so right. It is beyond gross and hopefully both tribes will win their case against Trump but I think they really should extent that case against the whole damn government, Trump can't do anything by his lil ole self no matter how much he thinks he can, Congress and the House could have vetoed him.

@rebelann I wish Congress entities would stand up on their hind legs and do something patriotic.

He is definitely a man of the past. Seen from Europe where oil has no future (combustion engines will have disappeared in 2050 on this side of the pond), it is weird to see new oil pipelines built in USA. He said a few weeks ago that we will build new liquefied natural gas terminals to buy your gas, but actually the gas terminals we have in Europe are not used at 25% and not a company would build a new one, they would not get any return on investment... Alternative fact again...

We have a lot to learn from Europe where the mistakes have already been made and people have much more wisdom.

@rebelann I suppose you have strong oil and gas lobbies blocking the development of green energies in USA, but they cannot stop the progress long, you are actually the only country in the world having rejected the Paris climate agreement.

@rebelann Trump has no ethics and does not respect any treaty. I hope these Indian tribes find a legal way to be compensate if they cannot stop these pipelines to go on their lands.

It is an outrage, but since when has Trump ever been on the side of minorities?

Yeah, he's not exactly the ideal president but I have to wonder why Congress didn't veto when they had the chance, he's not the only one to blame for this injustice.

It's a shame @DianneN too bad the majority of American citizens don't have a voice in all this.
