Question of The Day- Bottled, Plastic or Canned?
How do you prefer your beverages whether it be soda, beer, juice, or other type drinks? In bottles, plastic or cans? Which way do you go? Any reasons for your choices?
For me I prefer mostly bottles. Beer and snapple ice tea taste much better to me served that way. My exception is soda, which I like in both cans and plastic bottles.

I like Snapple and can't imagine it in anything other than a bottle.
Soda I usually buy in 2 liter plastic bottles

They say the fizz does not last as long in plastic vs bottles or cans, but I haven't noticed any major difference. Snapple does come in plastic bottles in the larger size. I also prefer bottles because it keeps it colder.

@dgobucks226 When it comes to Snapple I usually only buy the size in your picture and looking at it again makes me want one!! I do find a 2 liter bottle loses it's fizz quickly once it's opened but usually it's cheaper to buy than smaller sizes. I usually go with price

@Marilynda1225 Yep, all good points. I find when I buy the 2 liter ones they usually last and don't lose their fizz before I finish them. I also buy the picture size

I use all three kinds plastic, bottle and can for different drinks. Some definitely work better for me than others, but all are ok.

@Hannihar The good thing about a plastic bottle is it won't break like glass if you drop it, lol.

Yes, I agree about soda. Cans stay colder than those 2 liter bottles. Also, cans are safer from contaminants during production. In addition, the fizz lasts longer.

I drink mainly coffee, tea and water--the latter from the tap.

Cans are the most efficient to recycle because the aluminum can be used over and over again

For recycling purposes that is an excellent choice! It is cheaper to produce and more people recycle cans than bottles or plastic. Fun fact: Bottles do not have that metallic aftertaste sometimes found in cans.

Plastic bottles are very economical to make although bottles will keep your drink colder. Plastic does have an issue with contaminants leaking when decomposing
And carbonation will last longer in bottles and cans vs plastic.
