Hello everyone.
Last Saturday while the typhoon was traversing its course in my country, power went out early in the morning.
I am very much grateful that though the power is out, the rains were not that heavy but hearing the gusty wind are horrible fro a few hours. I was anticipating more but it was much much better that it was less.
I remember typhoon Haiyan (Super Typhoon Yolanda) 5 years ago. It gave us more heavy rain with terrible gusty wind for more than 12 hours from where I live now compared to the typhoon now. That is why I really prepared for this typhoon.
But 12 hours of no power is terrible to think that our area is not affected. But it was not only us but there were a lot of areas affected by no power too.
I am just now grateful and praying for my fellowmen who have been affected by the typhoon one way or another.

Yes, I am thankful for that.
I have not heard yet from @ridingbet (ingrid), @shavkat, @chierriefic and @ilocosboy
They are from Baguio and Ilocos. I am hoping and praying they are all okay.

So glad it wasn't as bad as it might have been. Hope you'll get power soon.

I guess Manila did have some strong winds and rains too but it did not hit us bad as well. There was a few hours of power interruption but it was restored back after several hours. So I guess typhoon spared us from its wrath. I see news that Ilocos and nearby provinces and cities like Baguio are badly hit that many electrical posts along the highway went down. Baguio was again hit by flooding and landslides so there were casualty there. I hope and pray that no more additional casualties anymore. But I am not sure if they have scoured everywhere since most of the reports come from urbanized areas still.

We did not have power outage over here at Southern Metro Manila, what we had was low pressure to no water for a few hours perhaps due to water turbidity.

Well, the power went out for a couple of hours here in our area, to think that we were not directly hit. But we have experienced nonstop rain accompanied by some strong winds for like 6 hours and maybe that was the reason why they had to cut off the power.

Glad to know that you are safe.
Reports are coming in and it doesn't look good for those areas that were really hit hard by the typhoon.
