dermatographic rash

Since the power outage last week, I was having itchiness in my extremities. Constantly we spray Baygon so that mosquitoes and other insects won't bite us. But after the typhoon, the weather shifted back to hot temperature again. Hives or urticaria rashes appear anywhere in my body. Tonight I scratched the medial part of my right upper arm and I felt a long rash. I immediately took a shot and this is what appeared --- I am experiencing dermatographic rash. This comes out when I get itchy. It is transient though. My BFF has this since birth. I on the other hand, developed this. Do you have this?

Yes, sometimes especially when my leg is wet it becomes itchy maybe because of high phosphorous.

yes, it is also scary when a soft scratch cannot resolve the itch we feel.

What I got lately are rashes from moth or butterfly & catterpillar hair or spikes that I think is blown by the wind or what we call " higad " terrible it's so itchy. Lots in our backyard good thing some have already become mature butterflies.

oh yes, the 'higad' itch. some of these spiny worms stay in the mango trees, and i even took a picture of one crawling 'higad'. my kid brother was bitten once when he was still in elementary grades; his face looked so horrible. the red rashes disappeared after 10 days.

@louievill for me, i just leave it as they are. after several minutes, as long as these are not itchy anymore, they disappear already.

If I scratch my arm I see the same red lines. I have allergic reactions if I touch some materials.

I do sometimes break out in rashes, Ingrid. Especially in Summer from the heat. I also have other allergies that irritate my skin. I hope you had some lotion that could soothe the rash @ridingbet .

the rashes disappear after several minutes, so does the itch. but the itchiness is becoming frequent again due to the hot temperature we are now.
