@amadeo Now admittedly, the flu shot has not prevented me from catching the flu, but I hope that it at least gives me some protection. There's so many strains, it's hard to prevent all of them.

I've just been drinking lotsa vitamin C!!!! I hear the flu shot is not necessarily guaranteed to work!!! They can only guess it will work for the different kinds of flu!!!

@db20747 I had the flu shots so many years ,many years.No problem.Never got the flu. This is highly recommend for the elders.Which our immune system not as strong as yours We have to be careful Do not believe what you hear.Talk to your Dr.

@amadeo there was a time I had a very weak immune system. I would get sick with even taking antibiotics, then all of a sudden my immune system seemed to kick in. Yes, the flu shot helps many.

I must admit that I never get the shot. I usually get a little sick, nothing serious, develop some antibodies and move on. As for my son, he got all the shots available on the market

@amadeo the problem is that the vaccines they give us are obsolete. And they don't even have enough for everyone, barely 50%. Even the ones for my son, I had to search all over for them. Managed to get one from some other country...

I have my flu shot every year. But last year I ended up in the hospital with the flu. But flu shots can't cover every type of flu, so I hope they get it right this year. I get mine Tuesday.
