A loud noise in the bathroom.

And I hadn´t yet set the alarm. Not that I trust the alarm nor the cops. But one thing with the other (plus the happy barking of Luna) might stop burglars from entering. I waited until my hands stopped trembling and I went. I have a very small Aruba flag in my bathroom and it had fallen to the floor (behind the washing machine, it is still there). I wasn´t worried about burglars or about living alone until last year, when burglars entered my house twice. I was lucky: a woman was murdered by burglars a short time after they came. It seems that now there are more cops around as the people were outraged. Still, now, a noise in a dreaded noise.

I just posted about a strange noise in my house. I thought the parrot had gotten out of her cage while I was taking a bath but it was just the bad orange cat playing with his toy.

Sometimes I think that I should take away from Luna her toys at night. During the day, she dozes or walks like a lady. At night, she gallops and plays with those awful squeaky toys.

I'm not particularly keen on noises that I can't identify. We don't normally lock our doors but when I am on my own I do. It would be silly not to.

I hope Luna will grow up soon and be good enough to protect your house. It sounds so horrible that the burglars will kill people except for taking away the money.

@marguicha It is a waste of their golden time. They shall study hard or work hard in such a great age.

@youless I often think that they should be put in hard labor.

Glad it was nothing bad. I too hate unexpected noises but mostly that was when I lived in Latvia in an old two-story house by myself. Now I am glad to be in a tiny apartment.

I have thought lately about selling my house. But it is very difficult.

I used to jump every time I heard a noise. Even when I hear my neighbors entering their own units, they make so much noise it sounds like their key is in my lock. Good thing you have Luna to sniff out and react to potential danger.

I´m sure she won´t do anything to them. She is still too little. But her bark is powerful.

@Starmaiden I´m counting on that. I trust Luna´s bark more than the cops or the alarm. They both arrive too late.

@marguicha That's all they need to hear to make any burglar change their mind.

I believe your security is a serious concern. Please look for ways to deal with this. I also want to experience living alone but this is one that discourages me.

No, this is a picture. Last year 3 robbers entered my house when I was there.
