Cooking Up S'More Fun

The title of this post is the name of the "basket" my fourth grade class put together and donated to the church's Fall Festival this year. Today is the day of the Fall Festival. My wife and I will be heading to the church shortly after breakfast to check out all the baskets, decide which baskets we want to take a chance on by putting our tickets into their boxes, and then we'll check out the rest of the festival. Around 11am, we'll decide which food booth we want to get lunch at. Our Hispanic parishioners always offer a delicious variety of dishes. For those who want more traditional fare, the Knights of Columbus offer hamburgers, hot dogs, and pizza. And, oh, the desserts. The ladies of the church always provide a plethora of wonderful confections. What are your plans for this Saturday?

Right now I'm outside with Harley. I need to catch up here, check prices for a decent sized shop vac, and then do laundry. I work the closing shift at work tonight.

@DWDavis Still need to work on the old one, so this might end up being a replacement. I am still thinking of how to do my old one so the weather dont get too it as fast.

Two of my kids' moms put it together for the class using the funds donated by the other parents. They did a fabulous job.

@amadeo It has been at least 10 years since I visited Maine. My missus and I are hoping to get up there one summer soon with our camper and visit family and friends in MA, NH, VT, and Maine.

I did have 2 desserts, though 1 was a very small piece of the pastor's birthday cake and the other was a single brownie. The main dish was freshly prepared flautas and tamales.

That won't happen. I will be spending my time there on my feet selling raffle tickets, except for the few minutes we take out to sample some of the Mexican food for lunch.
