Can you guess what animals are stabled nearby?

I stayed two nights on the showgrounds in Perth, Western Australia, with my nephew while I was helping with his goats. The accommodation we were assigned was near the cattle stalls. You can apply to have a room which has several beds or perhaps bunks. You bring your own bedding. There is a shower and toilet block nearby and if everyone tries to stagger their shower times the hot water manages to last for everyone. You can’t cook in the rooms but there are plenty of food outlets round the area or some had small gas barbecues or burners. I took a photo of feature brickwork at the entrance to the cattle section. Very appropriate and very well done, don’t you think?

I like the photo and it sounds just like the kind of place I would love to spend some time.

@JudyEv I once had the pleasure of a horse eyeing me all the time and then suddenly he came up to me and licked my cheek. Dripping cheek or not I hugged that horse and it neighed. Guess we became friends that day. Too bad I didn't live near the horse.

@RasmaSandra Wow, they don't often do that. Some horses are marvellous with those who have autism. They seem to sense that the kids need the interaction or whatever.

It's a great brickwork, it looks like an Angus Beef to me.

@JudyEv It could also be a Herefords, the shape of the two is similar. I like the taste of Black Angus beef.

It could well be Angus is a very popular breed in Australia now. Once Herefords were most favoured but when we were away, we saw many more black Angus than Herefords.

It's good the water lasted for everyone to shower. Very good brickwork.

It's nice isn't it? My nephew wants something like it but of a goat. He took a photo of it too and will show it to his friend who lays bricks and pavers.
