Consider if you will, changing all the I's me's and my's to he's and his and him's.

I've spent the time today I've not been on myLot either playing with Ace or working on my 8th book. I wrote the book in first person and have decided to rewrite in in third person to make it consistent with the other Buzby Beach books. This change entails finding every non-dialogue first person reference in the manuscript and deciding if it should be replaced with the character's name, his name in possessive form, or an appropriate pronoun. On the plus side, undertaking this monumental task is forcing me to read every line of the book more carefully than I might otherwise. Thus, I'm able to fill in plot holes, capture plot bunnies, and generally fix things I didn't know were broken. Have you had a productive day, or have you had a day of rest?

It is a tedious undertaking but it is good in that I'm taking a much closer look at things than I normally would.

@DWDavis Yes it will be good that it is uniform with the other works. Sort of like a signature for your work.

No rest for the weary. lol That is one tough thing to do, but it's good in that you had a chance to fill in plot holes and fix things you had overlooked. Wow! You're 8th book! That is amazing.

And to think, when I finished the first three I thought I was done. Then I discovered NaNoWriMo and created Buzby Beach.

It usually takes someone else to find them for you because you knew just what you meant.

That sounds quite a lot of work but as you say it won't be wasted if you're also fixing other stuff.

It is slow going, but I'm learning more about the characters as I go through it.

I am left wondering why I didn't just write it in third person to begin with. All my other Buzby Beach books were written in third person.

Fun and exact times for you. I'm working on a short story right now; thought it mostly done, decided that was not true. Trying to keep a first person or not all through a piece is quite a bunch of work for sure.

I could use a good productive nap right about now. I think the caffeine from this morning's coffee is wearing off.
