Saturday Night Live returned this weekend with a stunning parody of the Kavanaugh hearing, featuring Matt Damon in a pitch perfect take on the Judge. Funny but also so painfully true.
Kavanaugh (the real one) buried himself in so many ways at his hearing, evading question after question, accusing the committee members of drinking as much as he does, his really disturbing calendar that may well destroy his alibi, his flat out refusal to agree to the FBI investigation that he now faces anyway, the ludicrous alternative explanations he concocted for terms like boofing, Devil's Triangle, etc.
His aggression to the very committee that seemed hell bent on finding him innocent despite the obvious signs to the contrary, his strange facial flinching and sniffling, fake tears, screaming that he is innocent - if not for a woman having to relive a terrible sexual attack from this monster, along with other women yet to be heard fully, Kavanaugh's stance would have been as funny as Damon's.
The FBI has been given restricted rights to investigate the case but in a severe race against time, which in itself amounts to an obstruction of justice. If there is any Justice in the US Kavanaugh is finished.
