Fun day Sunday, Blue Monday

Yesterday was a really wonderful Sunday. We had a covered dish dinner in our fellowship hall after the church service. Every fifth Sunday, we combine service with another church and have a meal afterwards.
I especially enjoy the chicken pastry (chicken and dumplins to some), the deviled eggs, and all the desserts along with plenty of cold, sweet tea.
That afternoon my husband and son played golf and I picked up our grandson, Nathan. We went to Mayflower, a seafood restaurant and had just the best conversations. He told me how his first year in high school is going...likes the debate class where they take on the role of prosecutor, defense attorney, witnesses, all who are involved in a court case. I asked him which one he wanted to be and he said, "The judge!"
Of course, the teacher is the judge, but Nathan is surely cut out to be a defense attorney when he grows up.
I don't think he picked up his cell phone but once or twice, but didn't stay on it. I don't get to spend time with him like that very often....he's busy with school, scouts (working on becoming an Eagle Scout), church (he helps do the video recording in the service), and riding his bike or hover board around his neighborhood.
Anyway, it was a very special/ordinary time with my boy.
After yesterday, today hasn't been much fun. Housework, cooking dinner, more housework, just a blue Monday. Hope your Monday has been absolutely spectacular.

Today is okay just okay but still waiting for calls (Monday)
Sunday was nice Vicky.
Didn´t do anything special just catching up with a show.
Glad you got that valuable time with your Grandson.
That sounds nice that dinner for the churches.

My Monday has been nice in spite of the work as the sun has been shining brightly.

The sunshine always seems to pick up our spirits, doesn't it?

Nathan is the only one about an hour away. The 9 year old is in Charleston, SC which is 7 hours away. The rest are even farther.

I enjoyed reading about your lovely Sunday.
The church I used to attend had potluck dinners once a month. We always looked forward to them.
It's great that you got to spend time with your grandson. It's obvious that you're very proud, as you should be!
My oldest grand is almost 6. I hope that I'll still be close to all of them when they are older.

It's hard to stay close when they don't live near, but there's always phone calls and text. Do your grandkids live close by?

Wouldn't that be something if he became a judge?

Never have figured out why “church folk” love deviled eggs so much.
