If not for my sister watching a live video of my son and his students, I wouldn't have known that today is 'Teacher's Day', so I made a post on Facebook greeting every teacher a "Happy Teachers' Day"!
So, here are a few of the gifts and tokens given to my son by his students. There is a cake, a big mug which I and my sister smiled because the price tag was not peeled off, and a glass case with miniature cross of Christ and the Virgin, and this is in the picture. That is what is shown in the picture.
My son also brought in more but these are sashes of being a 'great philosophy teacher' and notes from his students.
A few acknowledgement of my son during his first semester as a teacher, and I and he are happy about it.

Happy teachers day to your son. Being a teacher myself, I can totally relate to the happiness that it gives to get such token of love and appreciation from students. We celebrate Teachers Day on 5th September.

reading some short notes (with my son's permission), they appreciate him fully as being 'the best philosophy teacher in high school'. my son reciprocated by making gratitude posts on Facebook to his students.

thank you. indeed, behind a successful businessman, doctor, nurse, entrepreneur, pilot, and other professionals, is a teacher who taught and shared her knowledge and skills.

the gifts or tokens are not costly. they are cut-outs for notes, and the glass token, mug, and the cake do not cost a thousand pesos in whole.

@ridingbet it's okay. You should be happy with the gifts he received. The students showed their love for their teacher. Can't you happy for your son?

my son is most often mistaken as a college student. when he went to the nursing office to let my clearance slip be signed by the dean and the clinical coordinator, the secretary of the dean of the college of nursing asked my son what college is he enrolled. when my son said he is a teacher, and the dean confirmed it, the secretary said nothing anymore and addressed my son ''sir''.

why, is it necessary for parents to give gifts to their kids' teachers? for me, i don't expect anything from my students. if they hig me, i hug them tightly too.
