Somebody Please Invent Auto Clean Glasses

I am forever cleaning my glasses. I thought for sure by now someone would have come up with them. I wanted them as a kid. Here I am a senior citizen and I'm still waiting for auto clean glasses. Is there any hope on the horizon that such a phenomenon will ever happen? What is the one thing you wish someone would invent to make your life easier? Thanks for reading. See, I can write a short post. Image from the Botanical Gardens

Yeah, but I don't have a science background, which would be required.

Sounds like it would be a great and well needed invention! I need someone to invent a slap on face for going out. It seems to take me longer and longer these days to get all my lotions and potions on, and then that makeup. And no, I will not leave the house without it.

@just4him . I may have seen one or two shows, but not that one. And to think we have FaceTime and Skype now! When we get together, I'm going to slap some makeup on you (and I know how thanks to my modeling classes) and we will par-tay!

Did you ever watch the Jetson's when you were growing up? There was a scene in one of the episodes when Jane received a call from George's bosses wife, and she had to hurry and get her face on because it was a video phone. I never forgot that particular scene. So, I know what you mean. Me, I'm wash and go. Literally. I can't tell you the last time I put any kind of lotion or potion on my face. Might have been for the Senior Class Play. I had the smallest part but still needed the makeup.

@just4him i remember the Jetsons and remember when she answer the phone she would grab a mask that showed her made up as they had video phones which makes me wonder how many who do video chat make sure their hair is combed and so on.

Maybe you should take up the challenge and invent self-cleaning glasses. I'd be your very first customer.

My boyfriend is forever cleaning his glasses, and it takes him like 30mins to do it every time. But he wouldnt use auto clean glasses, because of his ocd he has to clean them himself.

@LadyDuck I've never used dish soap. I've used GermX. That works great. Mostly I use the cleaning cloth that came with them.

@just4him well you know it might just happen - windscreen wipers were invented so maybe there is someone out there trying very hard to create self cleaning spectacles.
