Do you think you are successful? / myLot

How can you measure your own success. Does it have to do with your work, or family? When I can see my kids growing good with good attitude, I have to admit I felt already successful. But career wise I am not.

As I am happily married from almost 50 years I consider that my life has been successful.

Well Having a good marriage now is very rare and I am sure there will always be ups and downs in whatever path we take. Others succeed others lose. Hope everything is good in your end. Yes, I can say I am successful, family wise, career wise and stability wise! I have been blessed name, fame and enough resources to look after myself luxuriously! Thanks!

@AKRao24 That's wonderful to know. I am sure success is just around us, it is just waiting for us to grab it. While I have chances to, but it will mean going somewhere and leave my children. How do we measure it? Money made? Happiness? Fulfillment? Nice things? It feels hard to gauge.

As successful as one may feel, career and family wise, it always seems that every month there are huge unexpected expenses...Like the car or truck brakes down, another big medical bill from an accident, a big party or wedding that was put off until last minute. I am finding it harder to save for any type of vacation, as life is getting much more expensive by the week it seems. So, feeling successful, yes....But getting ahead of the game...I am not there just yet. I know, in time things will work out, but man, what a question...Success....Okay, I will say that today is just another step in the right direction! Thanks for the question.

I believe I am successful because it is not easy to be a single parent, Though everday trials is inevitable, I take small steps forward it doesnt matter if its slow but I have to.move forward.
