Un Poco! Un Poco! That's what he said to me

He was drunk. He saw me coming and started walking towards me. At first I wasn't sure that that was his intention, I thought maybe he was talking to someone else, so I crossed the street to where he had just come from and kept walking. He followed me. "Un Poco Un Poco" I am not quite sure if that is what he said, I had my headphones in and I've had problems with one of my ears today (probably to do with the headphones but I digress). He scared me, which accelerated my heart beat. He did soon leave me alone, and I didn't have to scream. I would have though, oh I definitely would have. I took an alternate route so as to avoid him when I was making my way home.

Was he Mexican? "Un poco un poco" (a little a little - or little by little), did you have something that he wanted?

Yes, and no. Yes he was latino, probably mexican, and no I didn't have anything he wanted. Unless it was me he wanted, and I wasn't giving him that.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Better stay away from drunkards, they can become dangerous.

That would scare me. One time a drunk guy started following me..when I was a young girl..and it was late at night..I just screamed at him.. "Stay away from me." He seemed to get the message fortunately!

@snowy22315 The drink affects everyone differently, he could have been unperturbed by your screaming.

I'm glad he did. I'm sorry to say this, but latino men are the worst for this kind of behavior. The man was a latino. I'm glad he seemed to get the hint.

It had my heart rate kicking up. I was afraid I was going to have to scream. Instead I said nothing and kept walking. He gave up.

I know what you mean since the translation from "Un poco" means "A little bit". You never can tell what that man meant to say. It is a good thing you got away from him.

I just assumed "un poco" which I knew meant "a little", was sort of slang to mean "give me a minute of your time" type thing. I don't know, but I am glad I have not seen him since.

I wasn't far from my home but I would not have wanted to run there. As it were, I don't think I'd have gotten there in time.

As far as I am aware, "un poco" means "a little". I just assumed that it was some sort of slang they use to mean "hey let me talk to you for a minute."
