This past Friday I went with the GF to go see the film Halloween. I thought it was alright. It moved along at a moderate pace. If your into the classic late 70's/early 80's suspense thrillers, this may just be for you.
While some people around me were jumping at some scenes or audibly letting their surprise known with a low quiet whisper voicing of "Oh SH!T!" I just sat there unmoving. I guess im used to it, since this horror movie genre was what I grew up watching.
Throughout the movie, some high school aged kids in the row behind us, kept talking or commenting on the movie. After a while my gf had enough and went into her teacher voice, "SHH! Would you guys shut the f@@k up! We're trying to watch the movie."
They shut up quick!
Honestly, I wanted to say something, but I knew it would've been a different result coming from me. It was better that she said something. I just ignored
them and concentrated on the movie.
So who else has seen the Halloween movie ?

I've never seen it, but I do tend to like the style so maybe I should look it up. Good on your gf for saying something lol

@Plethos I might be into it then. I like suspense moreso than horror myself

@Plethos Ah yes. It seems to be a fine line between edge of your seat suspense and snooze fest. When done well though..... at least imho

Oh, well at least she was able to shut them up. That's really annoying, but good thing because you have a teacher for a girl friend

@Plethos both. The last Halloween movie they made was kinda stupid.

when watching horror movies, i think it is good to express our emotions like screaming. silence for thriller movies.

@Plethos yes, it definitely is so inappropriate to discuss things not related to what is being shown

Oh, you might like this. There was a sign — a neon sign — over the stage in the club I was at Thursday for my concert. It said, “Please shut the f*** up.” (No, it wasn’t edited in the sign.)
I posted it on Facebook and said they needed it in EVERY concert venue. A friend replied, “AND movie theater.”

@Plethos It can get quite frustrating when people are talking during a movie. It can bother me at times especially if the talking is loud and non-stop. I've never been brave enough to do anything about it though.
I actually haven't seen any of the Halloween movies yet but they are definitely on my "To Watch" list.

Your GF surely knows what to do and its these high school kids behave well. Some of them are not and likely to continue their chatting.

I haven’t seen it yet, but I would love to! Horror is one of my favorite movie genres. And I need to see it so I could make a Halloween movie review for BitLanders.
