Got a phone call this morning from a friend I have not heard from in a few years. Thankfully they are all doing well. She and her husband were my son's godparents. We were very close when we lived in the same town. Now it seems life has taken our friendship away or at least made it seem not as close. They have grandkids that keep them busy. I don't but it is no excuse not to stay in touch.
You never know how long you have on this earth. It is so important to stay in touch with friends. Family as well, if you have them. We have to never take anyone or anything for granted in life. Agree?

I have close friends too but we separated ways after one of us went to canada and i got married. Two of us live in the same country, she lives in canada. We seldom communicate because we are all busy with our lives but when the one from canada comes to our country, we eat in a fine restaurant and have some long hours of chit chat.

Work and life have separated me from friends more than I like to say. Now we have to make special dates to see each other. Friends and family are worth it though.

Yes, I think we do need to make the effort to do that for a few reasons.

Connecting with long time friends whom we have not met for some time gives that wonderful happy feeling :)

They are saying we don't know what happen to the next day. So we need to keep in touch with them.

You are surely right about not taking anyone for granted. However, I find that I have less in common with many friends of my earlier years than I used to, and there comes a point when you realise there is no point in keeping up a relationship for the sake of shared memories alone.

I agree with you 100%. Our loved ones make life more meaningful to us and so we need to cherish the moments we have together!

Oh, that's so nice! For sure you are so happy, it's always nice to be remembered by someone whether they are our friends or relatives. And I couldn't agree more to what you've stated that "it is important to stay in touch with friends and Family. Cheers to you and your LDF!
