There is a link that talks of Mumbai and the visit of Flamingos around the month of November one sees in Sewri. The image shown is that of what one sees in Nairobi. Although credit is given to the image as being from Nairobi no mention is made about it in the text. And this is highly deplorable Wish the owner of this link produced a picture of what one sees in Mumbai.

Have you seen those who post photos with the copyright imprint on the pictures? People never learn.

This image is from wikimedia commons but it is a wrong picture for that article.

@LadyDuck There is no reason for them to do it There are so many sites that offer free images. All they need to do is give credit .

@allknowing I have noticed that this is also very common. People post pictures of places that are not what they are describing. I have seen a user here posting a photo of Switzerland and saying it was a place in North America.

Some people just make errors in judgement either on purpose or by an honest mistake.

Uploading an image that has no copyright is fine but it should not give a wrong idea.

@allknowing I see your point since when I learned how to write my thoughts on a news story, I felt a weight off of my shoulders.

They must believe if you have seen one flamingo flock you have seen them all, and that is so wrong. It is important to be accurate.

Since that article was all about Mumbai they should have posted real pictures.

We do use permitted images but when one talks of what is to be seen at places then the real one should be shown.

That's bad and no etiquette in it. One must not take credit if its not yours. There's one incident a photo taken by one person from the net and contest it, it won, too bad the real owner came out.

That is wrong on so many levels.

When you talk about a place what is displayed should belong to that place.

Yes, that does sound wrong. I f you cannot get an image that illustrates what you are describing, you should always admit that fact and not pretend otherwise.
