In Need Of Boots But Not To Walk All Over Everyone....

@topffer Hey, what a coincidence but the boots I bought ages and ages ago were made of Italian leather from the Bull Ring Centre in Birmingham and the zippers never broke at all. I think I will go with the lace up ones but not sure they seem to be awfully tough on sensitive feet. Be careful with the soles though and make sure they are non slip that guy I mentioned came a right cropper I would say so and I sort of ran towards him to see if he was okay but saw the disgruntled look on his face and kept way back. Leave some alone is what I saw so I did.

@topffer Did not mean to put the laughing image thing on there sorry about that its not funny when someone falls at al lwhatever age they are. The boots kept me upright in very bad weather. I nearly slipped only one time coming out of a Square as it was treacherous weather and no fresh snow to walk on and the guy coming my way went to reach out to me and said "steady doll steady" and he made me smile and I forgot all about falling. Plastic soles is what that guy had on his sports shoes and they are not very warm for this kind of year and very unkind to feet. I would have gone running to pick you up the same. Perhaps the zippers were English but on the box it said all made in Italy so then I did not doubt it at all very comfy and kept me warm too and I wore them out with so much walking. Hope you find a much better pair tops plastic soles are not good on Spanish pavements or wet woood on bridges. Rubbish you are not aging its the surfaces that get full of residual grease and stuff hope you were not hurt?

@lovinangelsinstead21 I felt down with plastic soles on a bridge a few weeks ago. I was not hurt but a bit wet. I am aging. You were luckier than me with your boots. The zippers were probably English and not Italian.

@Morleyhunt Are´nt they so hard to find really? I don´t care much for high heeled boots for winter. Glad you found a good pair and hope they keep you warm and cosy and safe while out walking too very important more than just the fashion bit.

@Morleyhunt Have been there too and almost slipped because of very dodgy soles on the shoes. Hope you find a great pair too and will be not be that easy to find a good combination as the boots I am seeing don´t seem very soft on the toes at all very tough tops of the boots.

@lovinangelsinstead21 last winter I found a good pair of boots. They should be good for at least another couple of winters.

@marlina The shoe sole is made of leather and the outside doubled with rubber, that is very good. Plastic shoe soles are a mess.

Will do don´t worry. I wanted to go and run and pick the man up but he sort of gave out that keep away look so I thought okay so I did. Not that I am usually like that. Yep some surfaces are very slippery worse than ice and snow. Specially when they clean the floors here with that stinky sfuff they use and one guy came in through the doorway and skidded right up to our door he could not stop.

@JESSY3236 Good for you and I always do that too. I have not seen any boots I like yet and its not easy to have a good choice here either. Hope you find some nice and good ones. I am looking to get two pairs if I can one suede and the other soft stuff as well as a lot of the boots now are not real leather like they were before.

Not come across any good boots yet will take a few more days of going further out into town to be able to find some. Yes we have to be very careful always.
