Won't get to celebrate my wedding anniversary out

When it's my birthday, my wedding anniversary, the anniversary of when I met my husband, or Valentine's Day I like to celebrate it on the day it happens, not later. At least with me and my husband. With others it can be at a later date. Today is my two-year wedding anniversary. I was really looking forward to dressing up and going out to dinner tonight to celebrate. Unfortunately, it is not going to happen because my husband works until 9 pm tonight, and that's if he will even be done at nine. Often times, he gets held up. That's what car sales jobs are like. We could have probably found a nice spot that is open late but it probably wouldn't be one I'd actually want to go to 'cause most places that are open late on a Tuesday would be a diner or a bar - the two places I do not want to go. So, it's gonna be dinner at home. We are going to have kale salad with fried chicken breast for dinner like we had last night. Then some melon and pineapple and maybe ice cream for dessert. We have no pastries or anything of the sort, so might go to the store and see what they have. Maybe we will drink a glass of wine. Gotta see what we have at home. This is not what I planned. But nothing I can do really. If only he was able to leave work earlier...

I prefer celebrating out. Better atmosphere and get to enjoy food I won't make myself. Plus, I don't have to cook, clean or go shopping.

That could have been the best thing to do on anniversary. Hope your husband come home earlier.

Aww... But at least you'll be able to have dinner together. Happy anniversary! Today(the 7th here) is my parent's anniversary too. We'll all be gathering at the old house later tonight for dinner.
