Well, we actually found and purchased the turkey we will be cooking this Thanksgiving. We stopped in at Winn Dixie to pick up something for dinner - pork cubed steaks and found it there.
They were having a sale on Honeysuckle frozen turkeys for 49 cents a pound. Who could resist the price? I looked at the turkeys and picked a 19.78 lb. turkey. It's a biggie.
So, a few feet further I found hams also on sale, this time for $1.29 a pound. We found a 15.97 lb. one that looked good to us.
Since we had to spend $30.00 to get these deals we went ahead and picked up the cheeses needed to make the mac and cheese, also on sale and were disposable platters, and a few other this's and that's.
By the time we were finished, the bill rose to almost $90. By the time they took off all the savings we spent $44.78.
I love it when I get a good deal.
