Hope they're having fun on the cruise. Lord, please watch over them!

This is is the cruise ship our daughter, her husband, and their nine year old son are on right now, the Norwegian Epic. It's a seven day cruise out of Port Canaveral going to Jamaica, Cozumel and Grand Cayman. I should be really excited for them (they love cruises almost as much as Lori A Moore!), but you know how mothers can be. Our daughter is scheduled to have surgery on her hip not long after they get back. I pray she doesn't fall like she has a couple of times already. That reminds me, I've got to tell her to stay away from the railing! Then two days ago, the grandson got sick with a bug of some kind, but got meds from the doctor before they had to drive to Florida. If I had my ''druthers", I'd druther all our kids and grandkids were living in a compound on our property where I could keep an eye on them. This growing up and moving away stuff is highly over rated. But I pray they'll have a great time and come back home safely. Our kids live seven hours, five hours, three hours, twelve hours, and one hour away. If you have kids, do they live close to you? If they do, you're certainly blessed!

@LadyDuck That was good that you didn't have to fly. Our daughter and family live seven hours from us, but we drive and usually stop several times along the way to eat or shop.

Ours boys live at least 24 hours away depending which flight you take and four hours away. And they are never likely to live closer which is the sad part as Vin and I get older.

@im2brch Oh, I am so sorry to hear that! Cults have destroyed so many lives and relationships. I pray you'll hear from your son that he's coming home.

@im2brch That is very sad. I am so sorry. Although our sons are far away at least we are in touch with each other. I hope and pray that one day your son will return to you.

I'm sorry, Carol. I know that's a heartache that will never completely go away.
