With Thanksgiving tomorrow, I thought it would be good to tell you what I'm thankful for, and I'm sure you are also thankful for many of the things I am.
1. I'm thankful for my salvation through Jesus Christ my Savior. My sins are forgiven and I am free by the blood of Jesus Christ and his sacrifice on the cross and his resurrection.
2. I'm thankful for my family. We might not always see eye to eye, but we love each other.
3. I'm thankful for my children and grandchildren. They've given me many precious moments to treasure.
4. I'm thankful for friends who encourage and lift me up when I need an extra boost in my life.
5. I'm thankful for my virtual friends who are the best people in the world, my opinion.
6. I'm thankful for the opportunity to be a pet owner and know what it's like to have the best companions and experience unconditional love. Mine have crossed the Rainbow Bridge, but they will never be forgotten.
7. I'm thankful for a place to live. It's not a mansion, but it's home. It's here, I can communicate with the world from my computer. I live in a wonderful apartment community with the best managers I've ever had and a maintenance staff that takes care of issues right away.
8. I'm thankful for the food on my table. There have been times when food got low, but I've never been completely out. I've never gone to bed hungry.
9. I'm thankful for clothes. I have clothes for every season.
10. I'm thankful for reliable transportation. My car has never given me any trouble, and I've had it for almost two years.
11. I'm thankful for my church family. They are always good for a hug and word of encouragement.
12. I'm thankful for my voice with which I can make a joyful noise to the Lord on Sunday mornings. I blend in well with all the other joyful noises.
13. I'm thankful for the gifts God gave me to cook and bake. I don't need to rely on a cookbook to make meals. My burnt sacrifices have been minimal.
14. I'm thankful for the gift of writing. As long as God gives me a story to write, I will write it.
15. I'm thankful for my income. It might not be a lot, but it covers all my needs.
16. I'm thankful for the YWCA, the friendly staff and the people I swim with daily.
17. I'm thankful for my health. I'm on a minimum of medication for my age.
18. I'm thankful for this day that God has given me to enjoy his creation.
19. I'm thankful for the seasons in their time. For springs blooms, summers flowers, autumns color, and winter's snow.
20. I'm thankful for the ability to read. I learned early and usually have a book to read or am reading.
21. I'm thankful for my eyes. My vision isn't perfect, but I can see all of God's creation.
22. I'm grateful for my hands and their flexibility to do even fine detail work.
23. I'm grateful for my legs and being able to walk where I need to go.
24. I'm grateful for my hearing.
25. I'm grateful for the gift of comprehension. I understand what I read and what people tell me.
26. I'm grateful for the gifts of the Holy Spirit which are alive and active in my life.
27. I'm grateful for my mouth for by it I can tell others about the love of Jesus Christ.
28. I'm grateful for the sense of touch, so I know what things feel like and if what I'm feeling isn't good, hot, cold, or lukewarm.
29. I'm grateful for weekends and retirement, which makes every day a weekend day.
30. I'm grateful for holidays like Thanksgiving when I can tell people what I'm thankful for.
Maybe you have things to add for what you're grateful for. I'm sure there is a whole list of things not mentioned. I'm sure there are things I forgot to add to this list that I'm thankful for. Thanks for reading, and I hope everyone who celebrates Thanksgiving tomorrow, will have a wonderful day.

I agree. We need to be mindful of our blessings every day and not take them for granted.
