Injection!:(

Evening everyone. I was at the university and was playing with Googlu and Googu. I got Googu's teeth on my hand and a little mark was made. I washed my hand properly, applied antiseptic too and then in the evening went to the doctor. He said that I need to have tetanus and rabies injection done else there is a risk or rabies since Googu is a stray dog and may carry a disease. 5 rabies injections in a month and 1 tetanus. So, today he gave me 1 tetanus and 1 rabies injection. He has given me dates for the rest of the injections. I feel so bad. I'm already scared of injections and I'm getting or will be getting done so many of them. I may stay away from Googlu and Googu.

Because doctor told that even the teeth can carry agents that can cause rabies.

in my opinion if you are bitten by your dog need medical treatment and rabies injection ... does your dog have rabies?

He is not my dog. He is a stray one. So I have no idea whether he has rabies or not that's the reason I'm getting injections to prevent any risk of disease possible .

Wow, that is terrible. Please get the shots as recommended. I hear that Rabies are not any fun and neither is Tetanus. The dog should be caught and impounded to see if it has rabies.

@shubhu3 That is wise of you. Someone should catch that dog and lock it up. If it is rabid, it will bite other people. They can always let it go if it passes the test.

@arunima25 Bite is not there teeth were only touched but yeah the pain is there where the tetanus injection has been made.

I was also scared of injection. But after my delivery my fear had gone. Be careful from street dogs. Do you have any special diet after the rabies injection?

Wow that is terrible. I have played with strays many times an never would have thought about a risk of rabies. Probably less common here though.

I'm sorry you need tetanus and rabies injections after playing with your dog and got nipped by him. I hope they don't carry the rabies disease.
