This year my missus said she wanted to be more minimalist about our Christmas decorations. She flew past that point about 30 minutes ago. Still, she hasn't put up nearly as much as she has in prior years. Yes, I did help. The photo is of our little tree. This is the tree we put up for ourselves. We have a big tree we put up when the boys come home for Christmas. I've seen where some of you have begun putting up your Christmas decorations. Are you going big or small this year?

If you look very hard, you might be able to find it.

@wolfgirl569 I seem to remember you sharing some photos of your decorations and thinking those were very much in keeping with the holiday spirit. I hope you share some this year.

When and if grandchildren come along, we will probably go back to going big, but for just us, nah.

Your tree looks nice. I keep thinking about taking the tree out of the closet, but it's still in there.

It is our tradition to put up the tree and start decorating on the day after Thanksgiving. Personally, I could have waited another week.

@DWDavis I have intentions of getting the tree out of the closet, but it's still there. Last year, I had it up early.

We always go small but I don't know what we're doing about a tree yet.

Several years ago my cousin had a Christmas Tree farm and we'd go visit him and bring home a cut tree. Once he retired from doing that, we bought a full-size artificial tree. Once the boys were out of the house, we started putting up the small tree until they came home for Christmas, then we put up the big tree.

@JudyEv Our big artificial tree still looks good. When the time comes for it to go, unless grandkids are in the picture by then, I don't think we'll replace it. Who knows, we may be celebrating Christmas on the road in our camper by then.

@DWDavis We had a nice artificial tree for a few years but then it became a bit mangy looking. We don't bother too much now just for the two of us.

Looks very nice! We kind of do both....my son has a small tree in his room. We will put up our bigger tree in the living room over the weekend.

My missus and I started using the small tree after our youngest left for college.

Very cute! Definitely we will go minimally this year - there's just no time to go all out for us. We probably won't even get to it for at least another couple weekends!

I usually ndon“t decorate my house but I prefer to watch the decorations on stores or parks. That saves me lots of ,money and effort

There is a house near here that puts out so many decorations and lights we joke that it can be seen from the space station. With that as our competition, a lot of folks around the neighborhood have taken to putting up fewer lights and such.

Pretty tree! We've gradually gone more simple each year. We put up our tree today and our grandson was here to help decorate it. My husband still puts a few lights in the yard, but not as many as some years.

I can imagine your grandson has helped bring some of the magic of Christmas back into the house. We are still waiting on either of our boys to get married. No grandchildren in our near future.

Small. We don't do big trees. The tree is already out on the table.
