A Dog Like No Other...

Danie, my lovely Bichon Frise has been with us since July and she has captured our hearts not only because she's a beauty but because of her sweet and affectionate ways.
Danie sleeps in a king sized bed but would prefer to snuggle next to me. She wants to be hugged. She would cry when I leave home and the moment I arrived, she would cry for joy and jump on me wanting to be carried. When I'm seated, she would want to be on my lap.
She's sweet even to babies. She would smother them with kisses and never harm them at all.
Danie is treated by everybody like a baby as well. No one refers to her as a dog. She's everybody's baby and she's my son's and my nephew's and nieces' younger sister.
She makes us laugh with her tricks. She would sometimes amuse us with her dance especially when she's showing off. She listens to our gossip intently as if she understands everything. She is our love and joy.
Yes, Danie is a dog like no other and she's sending you her sweet smile.

Thank you. She's getting prettier as she gets older. She's 7 months in the photo. She will turn 8 months this coming December 8th.

@JustBhem No not too big. Bichon fries average weight is between 3.5-5kg only for female and their height is at 9 inches tall. They don't grow big. They're smaller than a show type standard shih tzu.
A pure breed show type Bichons are priced at 80,000-180,000 Pesos and Danie is within that price range. I've seen backyard breeders selling them at 15,000 though which is sad.

It's been a Long time that I've been here too Anna. And yes Danie is getting prettier as she gets older but her hair is getting more difficult to manage so I might ask the groomer to give her a bichon haircut this week.

Hi, Jeff! I missed interacting with you. Yeah it's been awhile since we've talked indeed. I can't really say I've been very busy as i wasn't really. Just lazy and spending time on other sites than Mylot but I will always come back here.

Just make sure that when you decide to get a new one, you study the breed and check whether the temperament of that breed suits your lifestyle And never ever forget to be responsible pet owner by giving them quality food and making them happy.

@Janet357 Bichon are affectionate even to strangers. They would even run to them to give them kisses. That's why I never take my bichon out without a leash. Danie greets everybody with a kiss that's why when we are out for a walk, our neighbours are all very happy because they would be greeted by Danie with a kiss. They couldn't help but hug her too. They like hugging her coz Danie is so soft and she smells really good. She doesn't have a dog smell at all.

a mix of shih tsu and poodle?
Danie gets sad when she is being compared to a shih tau and a poodle actually. Sometimes she's mistaken as a Maltese too
