This cactus, (yes cactus again) bloomed this summer. I was thrilled with this one.. because it is not like any of my other cactus blooms. I enjoyed bunches of these blooms for months together..
The orchid is another flower that remains on the plant for months. Brilliant in its hues.. but they are finicky and a pain to take care of.. at least in my kind of weather.
I enjoy cacti because of they need no care at all. Just a couple of feeds in spring would give you beautiful blooms.
Another non fussy plant that is colorful and impressive is the bougainvillea. This grows wild in the tropics but add such color and beauty to the general scenery.
In the hot regions of the world where water is scare cacti are the best plants to have. These are also perfect for those who forget to water the plants.

Yes, I have never seen such blooming cacti. Mostly only the thorns.
Orchids on the other hand bloom around April.Of course initially they need caring ,till they get their grip on the tree .
If you don't mind my asking which part of the world do you live in?

No not all cacti are thorny.. they have such awesome blooms.
Orchids need trees and some amount of controlled climate.. i had a whole lot of them they were fine until we moved homes..

I have read about cactus and one of my nephews had a huge collection. He spent all his money collecting rare species.
Yours is unique too.
Bougainvillea are the ones that add colour to my garden when others go to sleep (lol)

Love your blooming cactus. I used to have a Christmas cactus and loved when it bloomed.

@sofssu yes i love and prime reason is as it does requires no care but never makes you unhappy,this cactus perhaps i have seen first or may be in botanical garden not remember exactly

Oh my gosh that just so amazingly beautiful, I like the purple print on the small flowers. It looks like fingerprints. I have never seen like this before. Its reall a beautiful one.
