Diary Saturday 7th December 2018 A busy annd expensive shopping day. I needed lots of decent Winter wear clothes so I scoured round charity shops buying big jumpers and fresh pairs of trousers. As my cold was not showing signs of going away I bought some cough syrup, and also some food and drink. Diary Sunday 9th December 2018 A day in not doing much at all. My mum phoned with some sad news. A routine visit to the vet revealed that her three year old cat, Shadow, has a serious heart defect that could kill her at any time. depite this, the cat runs round with tremendous energy like a newborn kitten. There is no cure for her condition. One day she will just fall over. I took photos of many of my zany tee shirts and badges. One badge photo is included here. Diary Monday10th December 2018 A busy university voluntary work day helping assess student social work teams presentation projects for their academic assessments. It was quite a challenging judging process but the students did really well. I took the over-payment cheque sent to me by the council in support of my rent back to their offices personally and got a reciept for them. They should now release the correct payment cheque which they have virtually kept hostage until I did this. It would have been illegal for me to spend the excess money. Diary Tuesday 11th December 2018 A cheap supermarket discount food day at the community centre today, the first I have been free to attend in weeks. Several members of the community were there and some were very saddened to learn that I have not been invited to the volunteers Xmas party with them tomorrow because the organizing staff refuse to recognize guest speakers as real volunteers. The party, and the one for paid staff the following day mean the centre will be closed to the public on Wednesay and Thursday. I only found this out from going in today. such information ought to be sent out to all known community members by e-mail well in advance. Arthur Chappell

I am sorry to know that you have a cold, I hope the syrup will help. I am so sorry for the cat. You did the right thing to bring back personally the check and to ask for a recipe, it's better to play safe with those people.

So sorry to hear of your Mothers dear cat. Poor thing at least it is happy for now. I still cant get over that place not inviting you how mean can they get. Yes they also ought to send out emails on the other thing too in advance. Yes you did right too taking that excess into the council and getting a very important receipt.

That's sad about the cat. They don't know that they need to take things easy but it's good he is enjoying life at the moment.
