Now I have to watch and not eat too much candy

I'm back again with my employee to clean the house I shared about three weeks ago. He has no car and I keep a portion of what I charge since I supply the cleaning products.
When we got in the house the homeowner was bringing our attention to her stove. I thought she was going to point out something he's been missing but instead she was showing us these gift bags
They are loaded with candy, yum. I should give mine away or at least share it because I've been trying to lose some weight but instead I've been steadily gaining. Maybe I'll put it into the freezer for now, or not. We will see.

Most people like their chocolates. I've always said if push came to shove, I could by pass the chocolates and have any type of sweet, if I like it that is. I refuse to have black licorice. If I hadn't gained some weight this past month, I'd dive in and have all of it. I think I'm doing pretty well as most of it is still in the bag. I'm having about four little candies per day at present. I'm not going to guarantee that I will stick with that, but I'm hoping that I will.

@responsiveme The left picture shows the majority of the contents of the bag, so no it wasn't loaded. Just enough to enjoy but not overdo things,
Do you get colored and flavored jelly beans there? If so and if they contain black jelly beans they usually have the licorice flavor too. Some people like black licorice so much that candy manufacturers now make jelly beans with only the black ones in the bag. For those that enjoy or make rock candy, anise is the flavoring that black licorice may come from and fennel has a similar flavor I heard.
This is a link that has a picture of cinnamon flavored rock candy. It's hard and normally chopped up into bite-sized pieces for young and old alike. The picture make is look huge. I made rock candy every year when I was young. But, I won't make it now as it's mostly sugar.

@MarshaMusselman Again as I type this ,I got to tell you there are two sides of India...Villages and small towns.
And big cities where you can get almost anything you would wish for...One reason is that there are embassy staff and other foreigners residing.
So, I don't see the rock candy canes where I stay.
When we were young and used to visit relatives in cities we would get something like that called barley sugar...Candy sticks .
As for jelly beans, the closest I can think of is something called jujeps.

@LadyDuck do the stores ever run out of your chocolate if you wait until just before Christmas to buy it?

Many times I can look at chocolate without getting tempted, but there are individual kisses and Reece's along with a peppermint bark which I ate last night. There are also about five different flavors of candy canes. I may take those to share or put them on the few presents were taking in a couple of weeks. There aren't t that many single candies. Since I've been able to keep from buying a bag of candy since Halloween I may just let myself have these.

Is that tooth of yours broken off, or never really grew much, or you kept the baby tooth and therefore, it never knew to be sweet.

I wish I never like sweets. And growing up with not having many hasn't made it very easy either. There are a handful of people in the world or at least in Michigan, that don't like sweets at all, so I've heard of that before.
I've found that if I can go two weeks without using sugar at all, then the cravings quit.

@TheHorse I'm tempted by most any types of sugary treats. I like different candies in the different seasons. I could eat ice cream every day and not be bothered by doing so, but until i can drop some pounds, I cannot afford to buy any for a while. Unless I buy the low sugar and low carb fudgesicles or ice cream.

@MarshaMusselman What is your favorite sugary delight? When I see tapioca pudding at the deli, I am tempted.

I don't think it will make it into the freezer however good of an idea it was. I'm allowing myself a few but not a bunch and I've been limiting how many almonds I eat at one sitting and I've refreshed from having some healthier popcorn the last few days too. I did go down one pound today and I'll be surprised whether it stays there but if I can continue as it's maybe I'll do better.

@just4him I'd like to at least go back down to where I was before having off. That's eight pounds or so less than what I am right now.
I was trying to lose before having off for my knee replacement because I gained some back last year too and have been fighting to get it off since then. This round, I did begin to lose a few pounds in the beginning, but then proceeded to gain that and more back again. Sheesh.
If I'm able to get my next knee done during the summer months this next year, then I should be able to get outside and walk more than I could during the winter when I had the first one done. At least that's the plan.

There are several types in that bag. The bag is a gift bag not the wrapper of candy. Do you have candy canes there?
I redid my picture so people could see more of what is in the bag.

@leny34 it's quite common here in the states. Do you have Reece's or Hershey's candy there? That is what the small for wrapped candy's are. I never had the peppermint before now. You've never had a candy cane?

Good for you that you don't eat candy. Is it not readily available there or you are able to resist? It's certainly not good for any of us, but that doesn't stop most people.

@Nevena83 unfortunately they are eaten by everyone of any age here other than toddlers and younger. There are a few people that aren't addicted to candy or that have good will power.

@MarshaMusselman Yes, they are very affordable in my country. They are mostly eaten by our children.

I had a couple of jobs I did fifteen to twenty years ago but haven't done any for several years now. I get new calls to do it but I can't and up to now didn't have anyone willing. We do just about any cleaning people want if I have the time or they can get themselves to the job.
I forgot I was going to do a diary of sorts in how our business grew and when I got more involved. Maybe I'll tag you when I wrote the next one. Others here thought we only did windows too.

Lol, sorry to hear I got candy or that I want to try not to enjoy any?
I'm not very successful with that part so far, at least I didn't eat them all right away.

I'm having problems losing even without the holiday goodies. Being odd work and needing to elevate my for cause me to get less exercise. I lost weight pounds the first two weeks and have gained pounds ever since then.

Yeah, I'm trying some self-control to lose weight too since I've gained a bit since being off work. I've at least been doing a bit better this past week. Now I just have to be patient until the pounds start dropping off again.
