December 17, 2018 3:50am CST
Hello everyone. I have a bad cough and my throat feels terrible. And after drinking a cup of ginger tea with honey it felt so good and lessen my cough. I is so relieving. Does anyone of you tried it? Or do you have another suggestion how to sooth my super sore throat from to much coughing?

Yes, I used ginger tea with honey for a bronchitis attack - dry cough that wouldn't go away - and it was gone within 24 hours. There's also an herbal cough syrup that works great for coughs and colds. It's called Herbal Expec by Naturade and comes in sugar-free as well as regular. It's good for bronchitis as well. And I've found recipes online for herbal cough syrup you can make at home.

I know that tea with honey helps a lot to reduce the cough. Ginger tea is good because it does not contain caffeine.

I would suggest you to consume foods that is high in vitamin C like orange and guava. Drink plenty of plain water too to stay yourself hydrate. I haven't tried ginger tea will help sore throat and coughing but will try it when I am having these two symptoms. (touch wood) If you can bear it, then it is better to consult doctor to avoid worsen your situation. Speedy recover.
