Do You Keep a Journal? With or Without Dates?

I used to keep a journal when I was in high school. Wasn't my idea. It was my teacher's idea. When I graduated high school I gave her my journal as a keepsake. After that, I never maintained a journal.
One thing I specifically remember was that each journal entry had to be DATED.
I know a person who said that she kept a journal but the journal didn't have any dates[i]. She didn't care about the dates, because she didn't think there were really any “significant events” in her life that needed [i]recording. However, she wanted to keep a record of her writings.
A journal with no dates? How odd! Don't you think?
Have you ever kept a journal or diary with NO DATES?
That would drive me bananas! I can't stand picking up a piece of paper with my handwriting on it and I can't remember when I wrote it. I need a point of reference! I need a timeline.

I had a diary when I was growing up and then a journal to write my thoughts down.

No but I have a good memory so I seem to remember when things happened. I would not like to keep one and then have someone find it and read all the events that had happened during my life.

I have a favourite corner in my house and that is where I reminisce. Memories just flow. No need to write them down.
