From Australia to Green Bay, Wisconsin comes this beautiful card from @JudyEv. I love that cute little critter peeking out of a stocking with presents in it. Sorta looks caught in the act, doesn't he? Doesn't look a bit remorseful about being caught either. Such a precious card. Thank you, Judy. Well, today is the first day of winter. It comes our way at 4:22 PM central time. My favorite season of the year. To help the day along, the weather decided to cooperate a little bit. Temps dove 10 degrees overnight and the winds are blustery. Baby, It's Cold Outside. Seems I recall a song by that title. Today is a day when I would love to be completely lazy. There must be another weather system coming my way. Every cell and atom of me is feeling it. Now, before you start telling me this is what I get for loving winter, it would be the same if it were summer. If there's a system out there going to cause havoc, I will feel it. Today is a day of places to go, things to do, and people to see. I've already taken care of some of it. I went shopping right after the pool. However, I still need to get to my youngest son's with tree decorations and my Ninja. I don't like parting with it, but he said I'd get it back almost right away. I know he worked the overnight shift last night, so not certain what time he got home this morning. I tried calling him when I got home from shopping to find out what time he wants me to come over. I'm thinking of going now and getting back here so I can then become lazy for the rest of the day. My turkey is in the fridge and I got the rest of Christmas dinner, at least the potatoes and sweet potatoes. He'll be bringing the sweets this time. I learned something this morning. I woke hacking up my lungs, something I haven't done in 16 months. Seems I have a sensitivity to wheat. No more pasta or flour for me. You might not be aware, but I destroyed my diet in the past week. Other than Christmas and what my son is bringing, I won't be indulging in anything that will upset my system again. I'm now gluten-free. I'll need to let my doctor know that little fact. It's amazing what you learn when you go off your diet. So, I'll be back on it again, permanently. Here's to eating healthy.
