we, most indonesian, get confused by the words british, england, and english.
we say bahasa inggris, for english language.
we say negara inggris, for both britain, and england.
then more people get confused when there is footbal match between england, wales, and scotland
but now i am not confused anymore.

You would be surprised how many people are confused about this, even in Britain! Incidentally it is called 'Great Britain' not because we think we are fantastic, but to distinguish it from Brittany (in northern France) which used to be called 'Less Britain'.

I can see why you would be confused. In England they use different terms for things and in America American English spoken. They are both places where people speak English. There are other places that speak English and use certain terms for saying something that someone us may not. I hope I did not confuse you more.
