How do you divide your time online?

As a newbie to myLot (but not to blogging) I have always found that if I became too involved with too many online activities I ended up not doing justice to any of them - some get neglected a bit and some get neglected a lot.
I came to the conclusion some time ago that I must organise my online time better. Some of my online activities don't actually need that much daily work done but others need regular care and attention and myLot is, of course, one of these.
So I propose to spend 1-2 hours at a time on myLot followed by a shift to another activity - and so on. Rotating myself this way will, I think, make the best use of my time and give me a chance to build up my connections on myLot.
I'm guessing that most of us will follow a similar plan but I must admit that I do tend to get sidetracked a little if I come across something interesting. I will stop what I am doing and research it for my own amusement.
This cuts into my productive time and I should really be more focused - what say you?

I know that feeling! I get sidetracked very easily and the next thing I know I've online three hours and did nothing!

I can relate with you because I am like that too sometimes. That is why I think in order not to be sidetracked, we should list down all our priorities within a day and have a mindset that we are going to stick with them no matter what.

I also have other sites and blogs that I am active with that has to do with photography, writing, and art. I also enjoy spending time here on mylot because of all the interactions. So, normally I will come on to mylot after I'm done on my other sites. I have cut down my time on fb in order to spend more time working on my crafts. Mylot is quickly becoming my favorite social media.

I just pop in and out here as I have the time. This time of year it is easier for me to do that more than I can during the summer.

i am just on Facebook (occasionally now) and on this site. more often, i check my yahoomail but now, i just want to watch TV after lunch, and at the same time, be here.

I don't exactly have a lot of time online so I would go on mylot as much as possible
