No Lifeguard

The last time we waited for a lifeguard, we waited 40 minutes. Then there was the time we swam without a lifeguard and were told we couldn't do that again. I'm sure the lifeguard has shown up by now, but I wasn't sticking around. I figure, she'll show up faster if I leave, so I left. I needed to get a little shopping done, so did that. The only bad part about shopping at 5 AM is that there aren't any checkouts open. They're all self-serve. Oh well. Suffice it to say, I'm set for tomorrow, and I have bananas for breakfast today. They're a bit green, but that's okay. I'll be putting the turkey in the oven soon, and tomorrow all I need to do is put out the fruit snacks I bought this morning. I don't cook on New Year's Day. New Year's Day will be a day of total relaxation starting with the parade at 9. The food will already be out to nibble on. Of course, I'll be here, and no doubt working on a book. No, I don't know which one yet. I have six selected to choose from and I might add to that list. I'm thinking about one or two more. One that's finished and one that isn't. Now that the shopping is finished for a few days, I'll be on the computer for the rest of the day. First, up will be getting the notifications finished from yesterday, and spending time visiting you. I'm planning on taking a round the world trip today to visit each of you in your kitchen's over a cup a and good conversation. So, what's for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, depending on what time it is when you read this? For me, I'm making pancakes this morning. Enjoy the Botanical Gardens Christmas Light display.
