Is a new and better world coming?

The old year has ended and a new year has begun. Will this year be better or worse than the last one? Many hope for a good year and some will be disappointed.
In Japan, as some were celebrating the new year, a man ran his van into some people.
In England, a man stabbed a few people.
In Canada, a man slipped on the ice and died.
Yes, a new year has begun but is a new and better world coming?
Do you have high hopes or do you have low expectations? Is a new and better world coming?

I don't know and I can't say for sure if a new and better world is coming this year or not. I hope so but don't know when but I have high hopes it will come one day. Do you?

We won't see a new and better world until Christ returns and then it won't happen for quite a few years yet. Once the third heaven and earth are in place then and only then will our worlds be that much better or at least those of us that will be around or will return to enjoy those future time in eternity.
Regardless of what happens around us or what circumstances we get thrown into, what we do with that is within our control. Whether we let it engulf us or consider it as but a small stone that trips us up. We all get hit with the crap of life and none of us are exempt.

I am one who believes that we are very close to the time when to God will intervene with the administration of the earth and set up his kingdom. I have no dates but it could be soon and do not know when "soon" is but it doesn't matter as it is the hope that keeps me going and happy.

@1hopefulman There will be quite a few years between when Christ comes back for his church and when he returns to set up his kingdom on earth. But, yes, it's the hope of his return that is supposed to keep us going.

Yes, we all hope for good things and better things for ourselves, our loved ones and for the rest of the world.
And yes, we can't change the world, even if wanted to.
Still, we wish and hope for a better world one day!

We are the ones who can change things. We can show others God's love, help others, focus on God instead of ourselves and stop focusing so much on the problems/negativity. We can walk like Jesus did and there will be a better world! It starts with us...

@1hopefulman To be ready for the day of his coming, amazingly only 50% of those who believed in him had enough oil in through lamps to carry them through the time of darkness. We know that the darkness is coming, we know that we do not have anything to fear because our help comes from the Lord; its our job to be ready for the day. We have to be purified as the bride (in Esther) and ready for the day of his return when he will come to take us to his father's house.
Personal readiness is at the core of this parable. Tell me how you see it.

Many things show that God's Kingdom is near. The prophecies in the Bible have been fulfilled until now, and God's exact timetable has always been fulfilled. We don't know exactly when this happens, as it is decided by God, but it is not long time left..
End all war, remove the wicked, bring prosperity and meaningful work—this is only the beginning of what God’s government will do. Live in peace and paradise.

In my country, people often say that America deserves all the evil that happens to her, because she has done a lot of problems to my country, but I do not want people to hate. I said this, because I think that we all have to change, in order to get started better. We have to wish each other well, we must help each other ... only then will the world be a better place.

Yes, hatred has to go and be replaced by love, war by peace, selfishness by sharing and greed by generosity. The problem is that mankind as a whole will not embrace those virtues. We can only do that individually and inherit the kingdom of God.

Yes, we hope that things will be better but we have no idea what can or will happen and that is why many are praying for God's kingdom to come.

We are happy so see good things but very saddened that bad things happen and long for a world where the bad will no happen anymore. That's the new world for which I'm waiting and praying and hope that it comes soon.

Yes, individually we can do our part to make the world a better place and disregard those that are destructive and ruining the planet and wait for God to deal with them. .
