...tonight at 7:30 PM. Yes, my niece and her father (my kid brother), are leaving tomorrow. My niece who had her Christmas vacation here is going back to United Arab Emirates on January 5th. My brother is quiet while fixing their baggage. He is already feeling sad because his favorite daughter is leaving him again. Well, she is his favorite daughter and his oldest child is also his favorite son, because they are only 2 siblings. My sister is the one calling for a tricycle where they will ride on going to the bus terminal. They prefer to ride on a tricycle because my brother knows neither any of us will see them off since it is raining. I hope my niece will arrive to UAE safely. She and her father will stay in a hotel before they proceed to the international airport where my second older brother who is an airport captain police will meet them.

I hope she is okay in the Emirates. I have heard that many Filipinas work there and they are not very happy.

@DianneN my brother wishes that his 2 kids will come together, but their schedules cannot bring them both here.

I hope and pray for her travel to be safe. This is the sad part here. I witnessed such when my brother and his wife went to Abu Dhabi. It was saddening and not to mention they left their baby.

yes, leaving a small child here while the parents travel abroad is so sad. good thing there is skype and face time now, they can see and talk with each other. when i went to Kuwait, snail mail and telegrams were our means of communication. internet and computers were not yet 'discovered'.

Does she work as a maid for a wealthy family in the UAE? I have heard that many young women from the Philippines are badly exploited, so are you sure that she will be OK?

@ridingbet That`s good - you can see why I was concerned, though.

@indexer thanks. Since UAE is a Muslim state, there are uncertainties as to the safety of overseas workers. But we here are glad the family of our kid brother (wife, son, daughter) live under one roof.
