I'm Home

Okay, I have been for almost two hours.
My hospital procedure went as it always does. The nurse tries to start the IV, can't, then calls the SWAT nurse to do it. She asked one other nurse to try. She came in saw me and told the nurse to just call SWAT. They must have been busy today. I waited an hour for the SWAT nurse. So my three-hour routine visit turned into four. Yea me.
I'm a hard poke. The reason is my very small veins, and they're not straight but crooked, so getting an IV on me isn't an easy thing, and they need to use the smallest needle on me.
Four hours later, I left the hospital and went to the Salvation Army thrift shop. They had suits, not in my size. So, I will go online and see what I can find for a reasonable price. I'll pay my bills first.
It was a beautiful day today. I did see a few flakes when I left for the hospital, but the sky was blue when I left to come home. Our next snow event will be Sunday to Tuesday. Though we're also getting 40 for a high tomorrow, so all my lovely snow will melt away. I hope the wind chill will keep it. I really don't want to see it disappear so quickly.
I got some reading done at the hospital. I'm almost finished with the book I've been reading for the past few months.
I've put up my 2019 Goals on the whiteboard. Right now I have four books showing for this year. Five with Thread of Evidence that will be published.
I took this beautiful sunset picture about half an hour ago. It's already dark out. The sunset didn't linger as it sometimes seems to.
That's it from here. I'm finished with the notifications and going to watch a movie or work on a book. I don't know which. Book will most likely win, though I want to get the Harry Potter series finished again.
Anything exciting for today? Thanks for reading.

Beautiful picture. We are suppose to get snow all week here but no great amount. Nothing exciting for me today. I worked all day but now I have a three day weekend coming up so I am happy about that.

Sorry it took so long at your appointment.
Not much here except I got a new shirt at Kmart tonight.. two sizes bigger than needed as it felt comfy that way.

Oh dear, I hope nothing serious for your hospital trip. Anyway, sucks that IVs are a difficult thing for you.
Great photo!
I love thrifting too, but that so often happens, nice clothing not right size.

No, nothing serious, just a medication infusion. I have it every 8 weeks, that's why it was hilarious when the one nurse came in, looked at me and told the nurse to call SWAT.
I've ordered the new suit. It'll get here in a week.
Thank you.

Thank you. It happens, thankfully not often.
I hope all went well for you at the clinic and grocery shopping.

One thing I learned from swim club was to wear 2 quite worn bathing suits to get some more use out of them. Usually I buy 2 piece bathing suits (the kind with a long top). I keep the bottom of the old suit and when the new one starts to get worn, I wear the 2 bottoms together.

wow, a daily activity for you.
i hope next time you will be inserted an intravenous catheter, it will be easier for the nurse to do it. it is hard to be pricked many times due to small veins

I am so related to this post when you mentioned that your have very small veins, which happens to me all the time when I am getting a blood test, or something it takes quite awhile for the nurse to get the vein so she can get some blood out of my body. It was a slow day for me, i've been homebound all day long.

@just4him Yeah I know what it feels like, most nurses look bothered when that happens, but then I suggest them how they should do so it is easier for them. :)
