Monsters under my bed!

Where there monsters under your bed when you were a child? I know there were several under my bed.
There was the one which grabbed me by the ankles if I got up in the middle of the night to go to the toilet.
There was the one which made all those strange slobbering noises just as I was about to go to sleep.
There was the one whose breath I could here in the darkness of the night.
There was the one which clicked its claws and woke me up..
Fortunately, none of these monsters actually got me - I was too quick and too careful to let them catch hold of me.

My brothers were a lot older than me, so when I was really little they were teenagers who liked to watch scary movies. I remember watching Friday The 13th with them when I was like 5, and I had the most awful nightmares and fears that Jason was hiding in my closet and as soon as I fell asleep, I thought he was gonna get me. Looking back, I laugh about it, but at the time it was not cool lol.

I remember having one that was going to get me. But I outgrew that fast as I love the night. A monster makes it harder to enjoy the night.
