Yay for me - I cooked something!

I love savoury nibbles whether its chips (crisps), olives, crackers, cheese, pate, dip. I wrote about a fancy hors d’oeuvres we made recently and this afternoon I tried another one that I found online.
Again it features bacon, cheese, onion and puff pastry but they turned out quite well and taste good. However it’s hard to twist them with losing half the filling. I’m not sure if I’ll make them again or not. But they look quite good don’t you think? I can’t imagine why one seems to be missing on the tray.

They do look good. But it would be hard to twist them with the filling in them Could you flatten them out a little thinner and wider, then wrap it around the filling before twisting?

I could put more pastry over the top as that is how the camembert wheel was made or I might use strips of bacon rather than diced bacon.

@MALUSE No singing, but I received messages from the three of my children who live at a distance and a visit (with whiskey) from my son who lives in Belfast and his family. The hotel lounge we sat in in the afternoon was deliciously quiet and comfortable and I refrained from crying. If my piggy bank receives any mylot funds I will immediately buy a cottage in Normandy - the one next door to my brother is for sale.

@andriaperry I'm guessing it's Type 2? Vince has it too. So do lots of our friends.

@responsiveme They were very enticing and I had no will-power. Well, actually I had plenty of will-power but no won't-power!

Can you not do them without twisting just to take care of the filling to stay intact inside?

Next time I'd use strips of bacon rather than dicing it. At least that way the bacon wouldn't fall off.

So you are the taste tester....I understand. They look good but I bet they are heavy with calories...
