Use the self serve check out ....it will be quicker ....they said !!!

I am a bit of an old fuddy duddy when it comes to shopping ….or rather paying for my shopping …. I am not keen on those self serve checkouts …. I like to go to a till where there is a human being sitting ….I like being told how much my shopping is and I like handing over cash or card and getting a receipt..... But …. there have been a few times recently when I have only got one or two items to buy ….the 10 items or less tills never seem to be open when this happens so ….instead of waiting in a great long queue I have started to go to the self serve tills …. Big mistake …. they don't always recognise your loyalty card they don't always accept the barcode ( and I am not allowed to type anything in so have to call for help ….never around !) they constantly shout at me to put things in the bagging area ….or … remove items from the bagging area …. they never believe me when I say I don't want a bag it knows when I am in a hurry and the flipping machine deliberately goes slowly ! I find it more stressful and time consuming to go to a self serve till with two items than I do to take a trolley load of shopping and a handful of coupons to a regular till ….. Do you feel the same ?
