Rock Star Or Movie Star?

There was a poll the other day which asked whether one would prefer to be a rock star or a movie star? I thought it was an interesting question and so I thought I would pose that question here as well. So, what would be your choice? Rock star or movie star and why? I chose rock star. I think being either would be cool. I mean, both make a lot of money, both have fame (although I have always thought being famous would be the least interesting part of the whole deal). I just think rock stars tend to have a bit more fun. I think the movies would be cool, but all those takes would probably drive me nuts. Then again, if you think about it, how many times does a rock star have to play the same songs over and over and over again. I can imagine that would get old too. Just let me do one strong album that makes me millions and millions of dollars, that I get to perform a couple of times, and then I can have a little short run of fame, and simply cash it in.

Is that you in the photo? You already look the part! Since I love music, I'd choose rock star rather than movie star. Actually, I'd choose country music star, although I sing gospel now. I did country music for a few years when I was in my 30's.

Gospel is good. It overlaps with bluegrass. I like this one.

@TheHorse I really like Alison Krauss. I love her song "The Angels Cried" with Alan Jackson.

Nope. Not me. That's a little known musician named Baio. I believe he was also in a band called Vampire Weekend. Would love to hear you share something here. As for me, here is a picture of the actual me. I am not sure I look the part. Just an old fart these days. And this was actually a couple of years ago. My hair has turned much grayer recently. I can't seem to stop it. I tried to make myself look younger by not wearing my glasses either.

@porwest Me, I would not like to be either. The Press is constantly hounding you.

@porwest I think disguises would be a good idea to avoid the press.

That is the one thing about fame that I think sucks. I just want my privacy. It might be fun to go out with a few disguises though.

If I could sing ;) I would say rock star, but sadly I can't so I guess that I would have to go with movie star!

If it is any consolation, even some rock stars can't sing.

I wouldn't want to be either. I prefer a more private life although the money would be nice.

@JudyEv Well. I don't know. Some of those rock stars are not great looking at all but they still get the chicks. I mean, look at Mick Jaggar, Bob Dylan...there are quite a few. Those rock stars just have a lot of...you know...that kind of fun.

That's me mostly as well. I always look at fame and think that would be nice for about ten minutes, and then I'd be done with it. I want to be able to come and go as I please and not worry about being recognized and mobbed by fans when all I want to do is get a bag of chips at the grocery store.

I like movie star more than rock star. Because movies have all the entertainment I want. It's my thought. May be vary from man to man.

I have had my 15 minutes of fame. Was on the news once. It was not all that and a bag of chips. No one still recognized me.

Well it depends on how much money you want to make! But yes if you could do a million dollar album, go for it.
