How receptive are you to strangers?

We are living in an increasingly crazy world and this is a fact. so talking to a stranger on the street - or anywhere else - is not exactly the most "normal" thing these days (especially for women when they have to talk to a man
).
On the other hand, staying without talking to strangers doesn't make us create bridges and with that, we end up losing the chance to make new friends, get new jobs, get to know new cultures or even fall in love.
How do you deal when you need to talk to strangers?

Depends on where I am but I've talked to strangers in stores especially if we're on the same aisle looking at similar things (like in the craft store).

I am receptive to strangers. I mind my own business and expect other to do the same.

It depends on the person that I met. If he smile and behave politely from my first impression and I am free at that time, then I will talking with them for general questions and answering. I will not disclose much about my personal information since I do not know much about them.

I have no problem talking to strangers. My family always hates going out with me as I am the exact way my mom use to be. I always told her she could end up bringing someone home for dinner that she met food shopping. My husband always leaves me alone when we go food shopping together as I end up talking to people and sometimes actually exchange recipes. My kids always hated going food shopping with me to. Now at 76 years old, I am still the same way.

Thank you for your very interesting posts. When I used to sell I had to approach strangers so they would buy from me. Now, it depends on the stranger. There were people moving some people out the other day that moved and two of the movers were friendly and I talked to them just small talk. If someone talks to me on the strange it depends on if I want to answer or not. I have answered. That is one way to get to know people and also one way to stay away from those you think should not talk to.
