A late birthday lunch

My birthday was Dec 29, but on the 23rd, we had cake and gifts for my birthday and our granddaughter's which was on the 23rd. My husband was going to take me out to dinner on my actual birthday, but I had just gotten an injection in my foot the day before and literally couldn't walk. So that was postponed (still waiting so I can wear heels that night!) So, today we're meeting our son, his girlfriend, and our grandson at Texas Roadhouse for lunch to celebrate once again! I've had their gift here since Christmas and I haven't even peeked. I love these birthdays that go on and on. Hopefully, I'll be able to dress up and wear heels before too long. Then I'll have my last birthday celebration with my husband. Well, I hope it's not my LAST one.

Thanks, Courage. I was the first child and since my daddy was an amateur photographer, of course I was his favorite subject. We have tons of photos of me when I was little! Lunch was very enjoyable, although I like the fried catfish better than steak. Our son's girlfriend didn't get to join us for lunch, but met us afterwards at our son's house.

@1creekgirl Now I have two birthdays. One that I grew up celebrating and my Hebrew one. That is enough for me now.

@1creekgirl Don't some people just drag their birthdays on forever! My wife is still celebrating her fiftieth even though she's 54.

I'll have to learn her secret. I only get a couple of months out of it.

Heaven forbid it would be your LAST one! It's great to spread out the celebration and hopefully you'll be able to wear your heels soon.
