and so easy to do! I would definitely make them again. The amount of actual "active" work to produce them was minimal--mixing the dough (5 minutes), portioning the muffins (5 minutes), and then griddling them (10 minutes). The real time was in waiting for the two rises which were both about 10 hours. Start one morning and they will be ready in time for the next morning's breakfast. I thought these were going to be difficult to make but I was wrong. They were stupid easy. You will not only save money making your own but you'll know exactly what is going into them as well. I used the recipe in the Bravetart cookbook but the author also has a similar recipe up on Serious Eats.

It is probably better that way. We would get into too much trouble if we lived close to each other.

Thanks for sharing your source so I can look it up! I prefer making my own stuff because like you said, I know exactly what's going in there! Those look really delicious. I hope you enjoy them! I'm going right now to find the recipe!

@NJChicaa Next time you could put in a bit of whole wheat flour and then it would be less empty carbs.

Thanks. I was happy with them. Now I have to freeze most of them because I DON'T need to eat that many carbs!

Baking is not as difficult as we expected. Especially today I can count on the machine to do the main job I haven't made the muffins yet, but it doesn't sound difficult as your description.

Yes, you know exactly what they contain. I prefer to eat home- made cookies.
