What do you pray for?

I have found out that people pray for different things. I always remember when I was about 7 years old and I was on my knees for a long time praying to find my small gold chain. I never found it.
I think that from that day on, I have not prayed for money or material goods. But maybe it is because I have all the things I need.
My best friend has a prayer group where they pray for people who have ailments, even if they don´t know them.
I think that the last time I prayed with all my heart was when my grandson was dying. I stopped to think on those terrible words 'Thy will be done'.
What do you ask when you pray? Do you pray?

@marguicha I do not to be a burden and I have seen how people are once they are left in a hospital to die, not something I want.

I use the model prayer that Jesus gave us as a guide for my prayers. I pray for things that are important to God but use my own words so that the prayer is not just a repetition of words but meaningful and personal.

I pray all the time, mostly for others. God meets my needs so I rarely pray for myself, unless it's for God to use me as a blessing for someone. =)

I believe in the power of collective prayer, but not to ask for money.

I pray for other people when they are not well or when they are going through troubled times. I don't have to know them.

When I pray at nights I do it fot my family's well-being, health and their protection being that these days things are a little tough in my country. Also I include my friends in my prayers and when I know somebody who needs them I pray for them too.

@marguicha Thank you. I hope it all ends sooner or later. It's been 20 years already with such dreadful government! I hope the international community gives us a hand. In addition so much to thank to Chilean folks who have helped hundreds of venezuelans.

I pray about many things, but mostly I pray for my loved ones, friends and anyone that I know of to have good health, all of their needs met , happiness and joy.

I too also pray for more blessings to come our ways. Maybe not for me, but I could be a blessing to others.
