There is a whole group of folks that tour with their tandems. It is incredible. It takes a lot of team work.

@DocAndersen I guess it does. I always imagine myself on the back enjoying the scenery and letting Vince do all the work.

@JudyEv Actually when it comes to starting the bike, the stoker (person in the back) actually does most of the work!

I have not, but I have wanted to.
As an aside, I'd also like to try a Penny Farthing.

@DocAndersen The ones they used in victorian times. One big wheel, a seat on top of it, and a smaller wheel at the back. I am sure those are a lot of work.

I have tried it twice. Many years ago my brother and I rented a tandem during a vacation. It took us some time to get used it, but it was fun. Some years ago my husband and I also rented a tandem. This time I found it easier, probably because I had tried it before.

@DocAndersen It takes some time to get used to it. We didn't crash, but it was hard to in the beginning. It is a fun way to exercise. We might rent one again one day.
