Bullied to Death

When she was young she dreamed great dreams of elves and fairies and wonderful things. There were unicorns, bears and horses with wings that would soar high among the clouds.
As she grew up her dreams grew into thoughts of proms and boyfriends and going on dates. Of love and happiness, and life that was great. But that didn't happen, oh no not for her. She was picked on and bullied by those all around her. She was laughed at and spit at and made to feel bad.
She was looked at as ugly and different because of a birth mark that covered half of her face and made her so sad. One day it was to much for her to bear so she hung herself in the closet and now she has no more cares. She left behind loved ones who mourned her quite deeply because no on would help her with all of the bullying.
Did you know that over 4000 teens a year commit suicide every year because of bullying?

@celticeagle I think it is hard to fight it. As a child going to a parent, a counselor, or a teacher could be a first step.

Unfortunately, i dont think the number will ever go down. And now even little kids are committing it too due to bullying.

@HazySue So true. When I was 13, my cousin who was just 8 years old was being bullied and of course I had to defend him. Those kids that were bullying him came from a very poor family. I'm not saying that bullies are from a poor family but in this country, the poor people usually have a lot of children that they could provide for including basic education.

I used to see bullying going on everyday in the hallways of the school where I taught. It is so hard to stop the flow of people who bully those that are nicer and weaker than then. You do what you can but r4eally it is only putting a band-aid over the situation.

It is saddening! There were people who post about it in social media about a schoolgirl or boy being bullied by classmates! Parents should really take time to monitor their children if they are the victim or the bully, and guide them well.
