I remember on a line from a movie, the bestfriend of the female protagonist said:
A man who hides nothing from his wife will never put a password on his phone or would tell his password to his wife
Some people thinks that if you are not doing anything wrong,then your spouse should be allowed to check your phone.
Some people said everyone have rights for personal privacy even from family and friends.
Why did I ask this question?
Well a wife from Indonesia decided to burn her husband alive because he doesnt tell her the password of his phone. She thinks he is cheating so she burned her husband alive.
the husband is alive but the burns looks painful but eventually succumbs to death

That is just wicked and super jealous wife he has. I think she over reacted to the situation. I guess each one of us wants privacy of their own and one of it is the phone.
Me and my wife have agreed that is our own personal space and we respect that. To ensure that she is not hiding from time to time she shows me her messages and I do the same to her. But when I am using my phone I can refuse to show if I do not feel ok with it and she respects it.

What is it from your phone that you are hiding? 
I always use my phone browser in incognito mode so it wont remember my activities.

My husband knows my phone password but by accident. I didn't actually plan on him knowing my password.
For one person to do such a horrible thing to another because he refused to give up his phone password is insane. She is clearly not in the right frame of mind.

Him refusing to give the password give her the assumption he is cheating and hiding secrets from her. Which leads to this.
